Privacy Policy
Your privacy and creative intellectual property are sacred to us. Here is how we look after your information with total honesty and zero corporate fluff.
1. The Golden Rule: Your Story Stays 100% Yours
Every draft, manuscript outline, storyboard sketch, and character name you share with us is exclusively your intellectual property. We are your creative collaborators, not rights holders. You keep full ownership forever.
2. What We Collect When You Reach Out
When you ping us via our contact form or book a discovery call, we collect basic details: your first name, last name, email address, country, and whatever notes you share about your book idea.
3. Zero Data Hawking (We Don’t Sell Info)
We will never sell, rent, lease, or barter your email or personal info to shady data brokers or unsolicited marketers. Period. We dislike inbox spam just as much as you do.
4. How We Actually Use Your Info
We only use your contact details to reply to your project inquiry, coordinate illustration milestones, send production updates, and deliver your print-ready book files.
5. Manuscript Lockdown & Confidentiality
Unpublished children's book ideas are fragile and precious. We treat early drafts with military-grade discretion. Only the specific creative director, illustrator, and designer assigned to your book have access to your working drafts.
6. Discovery Call Discretion
Anything discussed during our video calls, strategy chats, or email brainstorming sessions stays strictly between you and our team. No sharing your private twists or character arcs.
7. Secure Cloud Storage
Working production artwork, high-resolution layered PSDs, and vector source assets are saved on encrypted, enterprise-grade cloud environments to protect against data loss or leaks.
8. Illustrator Non-Disclosure Standards
Every illustrator and layout artist inside our collective works under binding confidentiality agreements. They cannot publish early sneak-peeks or character concepts without your green light.
9. Portfolio Showcasing (Only With Your Permission)
We love bragging about published books we helped illustrate, but we will never showcase your artwork on our website or social channels until your book is officially out in the wild and you have given us the thumbs-up.
10. Cookies (The Technical Kind, Not Chocolate Chip)
Our website uses minimal, non-invasive cookies to keep navigation smooth, remember drawer state, and help our pages load snappy. We don't run creepy behavioral ad-tracking pixels.
11. Aggregated Anonymous Analytics
We look at basic traffic stats (like which blog posts folks enjoy reading) purely to make our website friendlier and faster. None of this is tied back to identify you personally.
12. Third-Party Payment Processors
When you pay for a service package or milestone invoice, payment is processed through trusted, PCI-compliant payment gateways (like Stripe or PayPal). We never see or store your raw credit card numbers.
13. Third-Party Web Links
Our blog might occasionally link out to awesome indie author resources or literacy programs like KAK. While we love these partners, their individual privacy rules apply once you leave our site.
14. You Have the Right to Be Forgotten
Decided you want your past inquiry emails or temporary working drafts wiped from our communication archives? Just drop us a line and we’ll purge them cleanly from our database.
15. Accessing & Correcting Your Info
Got a new pen name, updated email address, or changed your studio mailing address? Send us a quick note and we'll update our project records right away.
16. Children’s Online Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Even though we make children's books, our commercial services and website forms are meant for adult authors, publishers, and guardians (aged 18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
17. Cross-Border Collaboration
FotoFables is an international collective operating across the US, Canada, India, and beyond. By reaching out to us, you understand that creative files may be reviewed across our distributed global team under uniform privacy standards.
18. Data Breach Protocols
In the extremely unlikely event of a security hiccup or server breach that affects your contact details, we will notify you promptly and transparently with actionable guidance.
19. How Long We Keep Production Files
We maintain finished master backups of your book illustrations for at least 12 months after project completion just in case your hard drive goes kaput and you need an emergency re-download.
20. Updates to This Policy
As our creative studio grows or publishing laws evolve, we might tweak this policy. Whenever we make significant changes, we’ll update the revision note here so you’re always in the loop.
21. Talk to a Real Human
Got a specific question, concern, or special NDA requirement for your manuscript? We’re always here to chat. Reach out directly to our team at: [email protected].
